Riley’s Pour House

For nearly fifty years, Riley’s Pour House, located on East Main Street in Carnegie, was a central hub for the community, functioning as a restaurant, a bar, and a live venue for music. In November 2024, a raging fire left it in charred ruins, threatening not only the livelihoods of its owners and employees, but also the fabric of the neighborhood.

When the owners of the Pour House decided to rebuild, they enlisted Studio St. Germain to design a new space that would serve both as a tribute to the original restaurant and as a charming reimagination of the traditional Irish pub. With a minimalist but distinctive exterior—in traditional Emerald green—the new Pour House announces its modern concept with flair. An open floor plan for the dining area, a pavilion featuring a stage for live music events, and an outdoor patio comprise the basic elements of the Pour House, with each element tastefully rendered in a contemporary but timeless look.

In evoking the past while designing for the present, the new Riley’s Pour House symbolizes the spirit of revitalization in design.
